As mentioned previously, the best way to make sure you accomplish your set goals is to utilize a clipboard with the tasks you need done clearly numbered by the priority it deserves. As soon as a task is completed check it off and move to the next. This step cannot be ignored if you are serious about your success.

The next step is to use your time wisely:

According to the Gregorian Calendar, there are 24 hours in one day, and 365 days in a year except when there is a leap year (366 days. The Leap Day is added to the shortest month of the year~ February) These days and hours are available to everyone: You cannot buy time, save time, put it aside or play for it: all you can do is use it wisely to benefit your needs.

When utilizing your time for maximum results~attention should be paid to the following factors:

(a) Your time clock  Are you a morning person or an afternoon person? At what time of the day is your energy the highest? Once you have figured this out~ take a look at your clipboard and see what needs to be done. Tackle the least important tasks when your energy is low and leave the most most important ones for the time when your energy level is high. That way you are releasing your creativity genius to do the work.

(b) Delegate  You cannot possibly know everything~have the courage to accept this and delegate jobs (if you can) to individuals who have a better understanding of the topic with clear instructions to report back to you. Doing this will free you up to complete the tasks of which you are more knowledgeable.

(c) Reduce Paperwork  Paper accumulates quickly and becomes junk.(excess load, baggage). You must become very adept at separating and dealing with tasks that are important but not urgent before they get to the important  and urgent crisis stage. Use the CRAFT system: Collect, Read, Assess, File, Toss.

(d) Procrastination  Procrastination is the result of over commitment. Know when to say NO to things you know you cannot do and YES  to what you know you can and should do.

Following these simple steps will help keep you on your path to success but be on the look out for others who may stumble into your path and require your path side assistance so that they can get back on their track.

We will discuss this further at our next meeting.
